Are you interested in helping ensure local communities have access to clean water? Patoka Lake Regional Water and Sewer District is currently seeking multiple motivated individuals to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to launch a career in the water utility industry.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in routine inspections of water distribution systems.

• Learn and perform basic repairs and maintenance on water lines, valves, and hydrants.

• Assist in general operations including but not limited to mowing, painting, meter reading, and meter repair.

• Support senior technicians in responding to emergency situations, such as water main breaks or leaks.

• Work closely with experienced team members to gain hands-on experience in water line maintenance activities.

• Operate and maintain equipment under the guidance of experienced technicians.

• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and assist in documenting inventory and inspections.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Enthusiasm for learning and pursuing a career in water line maintenance.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and a desire to develop technical skills.

• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
